Education

Uganda's education system is structured as 3 years of Kindergarten, 7 years of primary, 4 years of lower secondary, 2 years of upper secondary, and 3-5 years of post-secondary education, generally starting at age 6.

While the government provides free primary education (PLE), significant challenges exist, including high dropout rates, poor infrastructure, and low proficiency in key subjects.

Program Overview

Helping children in Uganda attend school is crucial because it breaks the cycle of extreme poverty, combats child labor and early marriage, and provides essential life skills for a better future. With high dropout rates due to poverty and lack of resources, support provides school fees, uniforms, and meals, allowing children to escape poverty and gainful employment.
